Maria Datseris

Welcome! I am Maria Datseris and I am a psychologist.

I graduated at the Università Pontificia Salesiana - Unisal in Rome. After that I worked several years in organisations and institutions as part of my professional training. In 2004 I moved to the Netherlands, which I call home now.

I am mother-tong Italian, but thanks to my international background, I can fluently speak both English and Dutch.

I am a people-oriented person, I believe in effective communication and the importance of it in any relationship.

I am born in Italy, my mother is Italian and my father is Greek. I’ve grown up spending most of the year in Italy and the summer holidays in Crete, enjoying the blessings of the sun, the wind, a greek family love. From that heritage of mine I’ve got the idea of the labyrinth (lavýrinthos in Greek), from the myth of Theseus and his quest to defeat the Minotaur, who was living at the centre of a maze in Knossos, Crete. An important detail is that he could get out of there only thanks to Ariadne’s thread, which he unrolled while he went in and then followed back after having defeated the Minotaur.

Together we’ll work to find the centre of the labyrinth, defeat the monster and follow the thread back to the exit and you will be able to come out into the light, unravel your possibilities and unfold yourself to discover who you really are.
